Deputies from Cabazon Station responded to a call of dead body, about a 1 mile and half, from the Gilman Springs and 60 Interchange, on December 04, 2014 Approximately 1300 hours.

Detectives from the Central Homicide Unit identified the victim in this case as being 47-year-old Moreno Valley resident, Juan Servin. On December 5, detectives from the Central Homicide Unit and detectives from the Moreno Valley Station located a crime scene at a residence in the 16400 block of Hazelwood Court in the city of Moreno Valley.
During the investigation detectives arrested the victim’s girlfriend Darla Bennett, age 43 of Moreno Valley, for homicide. Bennett was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside.

Previous Details:

On December 4, 2014, at about 1:00pm, deputies from the Cabazon Station received a call of a dead body in the area of Hwy. 60 east of Gilman Springs Road. Upon arrival deputies located a deceased male adult on the side of the roadway. It appeared the male victim had suffered traumatic injuries that caused his death.
Detectives from the Cabazon Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded to the scene. No arrests have been made in this case. This case is ongoing.
The name of the victim will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
